Coco peat is a multi-purpose growing medium made out of coconut husk. It is also popular as coir pith, coir fiber pith, or coir dust. The fibrous coconut husk is pre washed, dried, sieved and made free from sand and other contaminations. Coco peat is a very good alternative to traditional potting soil. Its air filled porosity and high water holding capacity makes it, an ideal growing medium for the plant crops. Coco peat is small in size and loose in natural status, so it is not easy to handle or transport.
